- 1992 : Constructed inventory/billing management system for The Extra Closet of
Fort Myers, Inc., a storage business in south Florida
- February, 1993 to present: Student consultant to the Computer and Information
Sciences department at the University of Florida. responsibilities include:
- being the primary point of contact for users
- managing physical lab resources
- securing, compiling and installing software
- developing in-house software
- Summer, 1993: Ported Protocol and Major Contact database from Paradox 3.5 DOS
to Paradox 4.0 DOS for the Presidents' office, University of Florida,
Gainesville.
- Summer, 1993 to present: Administered backups for the Computer and
Information Sciences department at the University of Florida. responsibilities
include:
- maintaining backups for 45 gigabytes of system, research,
class and user storage space, with 24--hour granularity

Packages and major projects currently in production use:
- ``MYGetopt'', a package written in the PERL language,
intended to manage options to system administration scripts in a manner
conducive to treatment with software engineering concepts.
- ``meanmail'', a program written in the PERL language,
intended to simplify and centralize the routine messages of mild
admonition that systems staff has cause to administer to local users,
in a simply extensible manner.
- ``restore-request'', a program written in the PERL language,
intended to ease the making of restoration request by providing a
detailed and interactive interface to the user.
- ``backup'', a package written in the PERL language, intended
to manage the backup and logging of a large set of UNIX filesystems,
and to utilize all available recording resources in a manner dictated
by dynamic network conditions.
