During May, the NETg division of Thomson, Inc. was purchased by Skillsoft. While this will mean some changes to the on-line training offerings familiar to the UF community, we are happy to tell you that not only is UF's on-line training still "Open For Business," but an expanded suite of offerings is now available.

Our familiar, local NETg server will continue to be available at the customary address (netg.ufl.edu) through the end of the Summer term, and users who have already begun a course on that server should finish that course on the old server.

However, users are encouraged to start any new courses (any course which they are starting for the first time) on the new server located at www.cns.ufl.edu/netg. The new server has all the same courses as the old one, plus additional, newly-released titles covering MS Windows "Vista" and "Office 2007".

The old server will be removed from service September 1st 2007; beginning on that date, only the new server will be available.
