As reported in the June 2007 issue of IT Connections, NETg -- our long-time provider of on-line IT training -- has been acquired by SkillSoft. As a result of that transition, we are being required by SkillSoft to migrate away from the old NETg course delivery system, to a new platform developed by SkillSoft. Additionally, we are at the end of our contract year, and have a window of opportunity to refresh our course list. This allows us to swap out under-used titles, and bring you new offerings to develop your IT skills.
Significant changes to the list of available courses will be made at the end of December. Many of the courses currently available will NOT be available as of January 1st 2008. You are strongly encouraged to finish any courses you have currently in progress prior to that date. At this time, we are unable to provide a definitive list of which courses will still be available. However, in any case, no progress/scores/bookmarks will be carried forward to the new contract. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you finish up any courses-in-progress before the end of December. Please write to the on-line training support team if you have any specific questions or concerns.
